Description
The LMP PowerDock combines a powerful USB-C power adapter with a versatile 5-port USB-C dock. The handy 2-in-1 device is ideal for on the go use when space is at a premium, but you still need a reliable power source and connectivity to a wide range of peripherals. However, the PowerDock can also be used stationary with any Mac or PC with a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3/4) port, either as an ultra-compact docking station or as a convenient USB-C dock.
The power supply efficiently powers a connected MacBook Pro or Air with up to 100 W of power thanks to gallium nitride (GaN) technology. It's also great for the iPad Pro or other laptops that can be charged using the universal Power Delivery charging protocol. However, fast charging is not only possible for the connected laptop, but also via the 3 USB ports for iPhone or other devices that can be charged via USB. Various safety mechanisms (over-temperature, over-current, short-circuit and over-voltage protection; non-flammable V0-tested plastic for case manufacturing) protect the connected devices from damage. The 1.8m power cord (2-pin) and 0.5m USB-C connection cable make it easy to reach the nearest power outlet while keeping ports within easy reach. This keeps the desktop tidy and reduces the number of devices that need to be carried around when traveling.
The 5 ports allow you to run an external monitor or TV (up to 4K@60 Hz via HDMI), connect to a LAN (Gigabit Ethernet) as well as various USB devices (2x USB-A and 1x USB-C with 5 Gbps and BC1.2 for charging iPhone, iPad, etc.). Together with the charging function, this creates a slim docking station – for on the go or stationary. But the PowerDock can also be used without power as an actual USB-C dock with an iMac or Mac mini or PC with USB-C (Thunderbolt 3/4, USB4) port. And thanks to the slim design with matching color scheme in white/silver or space gray/black, the PowerDock also leaves the best visual impression.
