The amount of data is growing everywhere. It is essential to protect the data from irreversable loss. A disk defect and subsequent loss of data can not only be expansive but time consuming to replicate the data. With disk mirroring (RAID 1), the data is protected against disk defects.
LMP DataBox 280 is a pre-configured and plug&play system. Under hardware RAID 1 mode (mirroring), the data is mirrored onto both disks for better data protection while hardware RAID 0 (striping) allows higher transfer rates by using both disks to read/write the data. The LMP DataBox 280 has a hot-swap and instant rebuild function. A defective hard disk can be replaced while the system keeps running (no interruption). After inserting a new disk, the data is automatically rebuilt in the background.
The LMP DataBox 280 is equipped with a clearly readable LCM display and LED indicators for system monitoring during operation. The system status can be easily grasped at all times. In the event of a failure (e.g. disk failure, fan failure), the LMP DataBox 280 features a visual as well as an audio alarm.
3.5″ HDD or 2.5″ HDD or SSD are mounted onto a removable tray that can be key-locked. The LCM display and LED indicator shows the status of the disks and entire system, making it easy to detect a disk or system failure. A fan dissipates the heat away from the aluminum enclosure, making the LMP DataBox 280 well suited for 24/7 operation.
The interface allows up to 5 Gbps data transfer and the LMP DataBox 280 can be attached via USB-C to any Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C/USB4) port of a Mac or PC.
